NJRBFW

After the sun started getting bad at Alliance I headed over to NJRBFW. I usually dont do this on a Sunday since it is usually dead but I thought I could maybe catch some SPADS or Cowboys flying around on a drill weekend. Plus it was a North wind which meant I could shoot from the spot. As soon as I got there I was pleasantly surprised by a couple of Growlers that came in. First time I have seen a Growler!!! I was hoping for a Commander's bird but she didnt make it.

Alliance

Another really nice surprise came as I was taking pics of the Iraqi Huey. I was just about to pack up and head to NJRBFW when this VFC-12 bird came screaming over and did a nice break and a couple of low approaches. I jumped in the car and headed back to the ramp to try to catch him turning in to park since the sun was straight down the runway.

Alliance

Took a shot of this Iraqi marked Huey on the Bell ramp. First for me for sure as I assume it is heading to Iraq after refurbishment. If anyone knows the story on this guy, please let me know.

Alliance Weekend

Well, I braved the cold to head out to Alliance this past weekend and was quite surprised. I wish I had gone out a bit earlier as my friend Keith S. said that an AN-124 had been on the ramp. I have not see one of those since the Bears (TU-142M) were at Barksdale many moons ago....Anyway, to some planes.

Alliance T-6B

I made a quick trip to Alliance on Sunday and was pleasantly surprised to see three Navy T-6B's on the ramp. These are my first Navy B models in the Orange and White scheme. Good looking stuff and a bit better than the Blue/White.
