KAFW Static 2.13.11
Not much at Alliance today other than the usual assortment of trainers- most notably the Af T-34's that are abundant. Nice weather for a change though so I cannot complain. Still a little snow melting off as you can see int the pic!

Super Bowl Fly By II
My son and I debated on staying and catching the fly-by birds come back but we figured it would be too dark so we headed to Cowboy Stadium at top speed. We made it to the stadium with about 10 minutes to spare but no place to park. I dropped my son and told him to get the best pic he could. I think he did alright. They were right on time. Wish there was some sun but you get what you get in photography sometimes. Photo by Jordan Dutton.
Super Bowl Fly By
I was really looking forward to the Super Bowl aircraft attending the Super Bowl 45 fly over. As I was driving out to NAS Ft. Worth the sun was shining very nice after a complete week of horrible weather. Some of the worst winter weather that North Texas has seen in many years. Unfortunately, after arriving the clouds rolled in and it was grey again. As these aircraft taxied out, I was still glad they were here but grey on grey= grey. I was a bit disappointed the VF-103 did not bring a color bird (at the tail) but it was still nice to see some carrier birds nevertheless. Makes me want to go to NAS Oceana that much more! Preferably in the Summer. Here are the Hornets and Rhinos as they taxied to the active. Flight call sign was Freedom 15.
